How many sweat glands are present in the body?

Sweat glands are present on all regions of the skin. There can be as many as 90 glands per square centimeter on the leg, 400 glands per cubic centimeter on the palms and soles, and an even greater number on the fingertips. Collectively, there are over two million sweat glands in the adult human body.
