Do all of the bones in the face and skull move?




Although the hyoid and ossicles of the ear move, the only bone that can be moved voluntarily and has the greatest range of movement is the mandible. The mandible, the U-shaped bone that forms the jaw and chin, can be raised, lowered, drawn back, pushed forward, and moved from side to side.
